Yesterday I arrived in New York City for the start of the American Association for Justice’s Annual Convention in New York City. It is exciting to be back in New York City, and I look forward to a great convention.
Today, I had the pleasure of being appointed the Chair of the newly formed American Association for Justice’s (AAJ) Crestor Litigation Group, which held our first meeting with over 60 attorneys in attendance. Crestor is a statin drug used to lower cholesterol that has been associated with a risk of cardiomyopathy. This latest issue is just another in a long history of problems with statin drugs, including the recall of Baycol in 2001 and recent problems with the 80mg dose of Zocor. I strongly advise anyone taking Crestor to speak with their doctor about the risks associated with Crestor, as well as considering supplementing Crestor usage with at least 200mg of CoQ10 per day.
If you or someone you know has taken Crestor and have been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy, I urge you to contact my office for a free, no-obligation case evaluation.
