This is Michael Brady Lynch, lead trial attorney for The Michael Brady Lynch Firm.
Last night, I arrived in Las Vegas to attend the seminar Mass Torts Made Perfect. The seminar is a gathering of attorneys to discuss pharmaceutical and medical device litigation.
I have probably lectured at close to a dozen Mass Torts Made Perfect seminars. In fact, I had the honor of speaking at the very first Mass Torts Made Perfect 10 years ago in October 2001 on the cholesterol drug Baycol. This year I was just an attendee which made for a much more relaxing time.
Mass Torts Made Perfect seminars are great fun. They are usually held in Las Vegas, are always informative and you can count on a prominent keynote speaker from politics or entertainment during lunch.
My participation in seminars like Mass Torts Made Perfect is an important part of my practice, as I get the vast amount of my clients from referrals from other attorneys. One of the best things about seminars such as Mass Torts Made Perfect is that it allows me to spend time with the over two dozen individual firms and attorneys that ask me to handle their pharmaceutical cases and/or co-counsel their trial cases. For the past several years, I have most often been retained on cases involving SSRI birth defects involving drugs such as Lexapro, Celexa, Zoloft, Prozac and Paxil, as well as Effexor. More recently, I have seen a steady stream of referrals involving Actos and bladder cancer, Transvaginal Mesh and DePuy ASR hips. It is very gratifying that so many of my colleagues trust me with such important cases. I must admit, having been active in SSRI birth defects and a host of other pharmaceutical cases for over 15 years, I believe their trust is well placed.
Since I am admitted to practice law in four states – California, Florida, New Jersey and the District of Columbia – I am also frequently asked to file cases for other attorneys in those states. California is a perfect state to file a number of pharmaceutical cases such as DePuy ASR hips. New Jersey state court is also a great venue for almost all pharmaceutical cases.
If you or someone you know has taken a pharmaceutical product and been harmed, or if you are an attorney looking for assistance or advice on your pharmaceutical case, please contact me to discuss how The Michael Brady Lynch Firm can help you.
