RoundUp Litigation Update August 2022

2 min read

Introduction

The RoundUp Litigation still has over 40,000 unresolved claims by claimants with NHL from being exposed to the herbicide. More plaintiffs are taking to trial to obtain the amount of compensation that they rightly deserve. [1] As of August 15, 2022, 4,116 cases are still pending in the MDL. [2]

New Update

As of August 1, jury selection began in a trial in St. Louis (Alesi v. Monsanto). It involves a group of clients who used RoundUp fairly regularly for years and were diagnosed with lymphoma. As of August 15, medical expert testimony was still underway. [3]

Additionally, according to new studies released by the Journal of Neuroinflammation, the main substance leading to cancer, known as glyphosate, seemingly raises the risks of neurological conditions such as Parkinson’s disease. [4]
