Baptist Sexual Harassment Claims
Due to the lack of clergy in the area, Bishop Malone in Buffalo, NY appointed a laywoman as the parish administrator. This is a new model and a test case for the area. However, multiple female parishioners have come forward saying that the administrator touched them inappropriately.
“I went out of Mass at 4 o’clock, and she hugged me real tight and kissed me on the mouth,” said one female parishioner, adding that administrator held her body uncomfortably tight during the kiss.
Many others had a similar experience, however, the Bishop ignored their complaints. The victims said they reported the problems to five authority figures in the diocese. Yet, nothing has been done.
