Amy E. German, Managing Associate Attorney
Amy E. German is Managing Associate attorney at The Michael Brady Lynch Firm. Amy is a Central Florida native, whose family ties are traceable to the original cowboys and citrus growers of Kissimmee.
Amy attended the University of Central Florida, where she was consistently recognized on the Dean’s List for Academic Excellence and graduated in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Advancing her education, Amy matriculated to Barry University School of Law and was awarded her Juris Doctorate in 2013. She graduated cum laude, ranking 17 out of 172 students and in the top 10% of her law school class. Amy is a current member of the Florida Bar and was admitted to practice in Florida in 2013.
During Amy’s law school career, she served as an Associate Editor of the Barry Law Review for the 2011-2012 academic year before achieving the title of Editor-in-Chief for the 2012-2013 academic year. Additionally, Amy also worked as a Writing Dean’s Writing Fellow, Research Assistant, and Teacher’s Assistant. Amy received Book Awards (highest grade in the class) in Property I, Legal Research and Writing I, Mediation and Trial Advocacy. Amy was also privileged to serve as a judicial intern under the Honorable Judge John Marshall Kest.
As Managing Associate Attorney, Amy works directly under Lead Trial Attorney, Michael Brady Lynch. She works to meticulously manage, fiercely litigate and help clients successfully resolve their cases through settlement or trial.
While overseeing various case types, Amy specializes in cases related to Onglyza heart failure, Xarelto and Pradaxa uncontrollable bleeding, Inkovana diabetic ketoacidosis, Actemra cardiac and lung injuries, Viagra melanoma, Zofran birth defects and Essure birth control complications. Under Attorney Michael Brady Lynch’s tutelage, Amy assists with active state and federal litigations, including:
- Plaintiff’s Executive Committee (PEC) in California coordinated Pradaxa litigation JCCP 4863, ongoing litigation representing victims of Pradaxa uncontrollable bleeding events post-MDL settlement.
- Plaintiff’s Leadership Committee (“PLC”) of In re Pradaxa Connecticut State Court Consolidated Proceeding, ongoing litigation representing victims of Pradaxa uncontrollable bleeding events post-MDL settlement.
- Plaintiff’s Steering Committee (“PSC”) of In re Viagra Products Liability Litigation MDL #2691, representing victims of melanoma associated with the erectile dysfunction drug Viagra.
Amy’s expertise further extends to managing and finalizing all settlements at the Michael Brady Lynch Firm. Alongside Attorney Michael Brady Lynch, Amy has settled or is currently in the process of resolving cases involving Actos, Transvaginal Mesh, Granuflo and Prozac, among others.
Additionally, as Managing Associate, Amy oversees the staff, coordinates referral relationships and represents The Michael Brady Lynch Firm at various state and federal bar functions and educational seminars.
Amy is an active member of The American Association for Justice. While Amy possesses an unwavering passion for the law, that passion is matched only by her endless devotion to her family. She is very proud of her daughter, Skylar who just started her freshman year at Harmony High School along with her other daughter Aubrey, who began the 4th grade.
